The white cottage above Ramsbottom with frost on the surrounding fields and hills

Ramsbottom · Greater Manchester

A stone cottage on the hill, with the whole valley in front of it

Three bedrooms, a terraced garden and moorland footpaths from the gate. £125 a night, sleeps six, booked straight with us.

This Must Be The Place sits above Ramsbottom with its back to the woods and its face to the valley. Original leaded and stained glass, slate roof, deep sills, and a wood burner for the months when the moor turns white.

Outside, dry stone terraces step down through hydrangeas and ferns to a flagged patio with a long table and a greenhouse. Walk out of the gate and you're on the hill in two minutes; walk down it and you're in town in ten.
